| The noblest sense is to see, said
Albrecht Dürer. This is the way the painter put it, and we understand
exactly what he felt. To see where something starts is always fascinating.
To us, it starts every year anew - in the vineyard, after the crush, at
the first tasting. Human beings naturally use their eyes. But when it comes to wine, the senses of smell and taste are at least as valuable as sight. They will feel the same through their eyes, nose and palate, who treat wine like their best friend: with love, respect and the knowledge that wine too has, and needs, its individuality. In the cellar, where it feels most comfortable by its nature, the wine ripens to maturity, far away from the noises of the world, thanks to the sun it has carried along into the cask. > close |
